HOW DO I BOOK A DRUM LESSON?

Send us a message with your contact details and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can. We will give you all the information you need to get you on the path to achieving your drumming ambitions.

What is a typical lesson like?

The truth is there is no such thing as a typical lesson because we teach such a variety of people and abilities. There are of course some lessons that are similar for some students of similar abilities. By getting to know you we will tailor your lessons to suit your needs. Lessons are generally broken down into a few different areas but what you study in that time is guided by you.

I can’t read music is this a problem?

No not at all... But we could show you how if you want. Reading music isn’t that hard with the right person guiding you. We email our students the PDF’s of the material they learn in lessons so that they don’t forget what to practise. If you can’t read music and don’t want to learn that isn’t a problem. We could always record your lesson so you can recap that way instead. We won’t pester you if you don’t want to learn to read music.

Do you do private lessons?

We normally teach one-to-one (one teacher to one student). It is possible to learn in a small group of 2 or 3 people.  We run drumming workshops using samba drums for larger groups – see the information on our Drumming Workshop page if searching for group drumming lessons.

CAN I HAVE LESSONS AT HOME ON MY OWN DRUMKIT?

Yes of course you can! We provide online lessons via Skype and teach people all over the world from the comfort of their own homes. After every lesson we email you the PDF files of our worksheets so that you can practise in between lessons.

Can I have lessons with a friend?

Sure! We can cater for 2 people wishing to learn drums together. The lessons work in the same way as one-to-one private lessons. The cost is +50% for the second person.

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Not at this moment in time. Our current students pay either cash, cheque or bank transfer.

How do I pay for lessons?

Payments for online Skype lessons are always paid via PayPal prior to the lesson commencing. If you are having lessons in person from our studio in Middlewich you can either pay by cash, bank transfer or PayPal. Don’t forget to look out for our special offers that will save you money.

WHO ARE LESSONS FOR?

Lessons are available for everyone of all ages and abilities. Beginners are especially welcome. Everyone starts somewhere but after a lesson with us you will have wished you had started sooner! We are a friendly bunch so don't hesitate to get in touch.

I don’t have any
co-ordination.
Can I still learn?

It’s not about where you start it’s about the journey you take. Learning music is a lifelong pursuit for many people (including us) and everyone starts somewhere. We will work with you to help you get better no matter how good or bad you think you are. The main thing is that you enjoy learning and we look forward to sharing your journey with us.

What if i need advice about drumming or I have a burning question about my lesson?

Once you are having lessons with us you become part of the family! Many of our students stay with us for years and it’s only right that we are available to help you with anything drumming related. Send us a message anytime and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

How long does a lesson last for?

A one-hour lesson is recommended so that you get the most out of your time without getting too tired or overloaded with information. 45-minute and 30-minute lessons can be arranged for younger students where an hour may seem too long.

Can I get a discount if I pay for a batch of lessons in advance?

Yes – you can instantly get money off the cost of lessons if you block-book 5 or 10 lessons and pay in advance. Our tuition Gift Vouchers make a great present for a friend or relative thinking of learning the drums and they are also a money-saver.

What happens if I have to cancel my lesson?

No problem! Just give us at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your lesson or rearrange it for another time. If you have paid for your lessons in advance your lesson will simply roll over to the following week. If you can’t give more than 48 hours notice we may have to charge up to 50% of the lesson cost to cover any losses.
If you fail to turn up for a lesson you will still be charged the full price.
